David HumeFour boats set out on the seemingly calm Saturday morning from Walkie North. I had mine with Gwen Fisher and Tom & Ross Robinson. Shawn Byrne had his new boat with Zac Crewe and Stuart Ashton on board. Glen Crisp launched his with Andy Ringin as did Kevin Kelly with Glen Templar on board. Once we got outside the protection of the headland we started facing an increasingly solid swell with a 10-15 knot south westerly.

Kev KellyMontague Island off Narooma put on a great show in March. Greg Dunn, Natalie Preferment, my brother Brendan from Adelaide and I spent the long weekend getting in some terrific dives in excellent visibility and conditions.
We'd had our fingers crossed on the long trip up because the forecast wasn't favourable, but the sea was like glass on Saturday as we headed out on the 'Dallas'. The usual cast of seals turned up to zoom around us as we splashed in on the western side of the island and over two dives we saw bull rays, wobbegongs and Port Jackson sharks. Brendan found a weight belt that someone had dropped into the kelp. |

Kevin Baldacchino We left home early on the Friday to head down to Warrnambool for the clubs dive trip which I had been looking forward to for quite a while. We completed the 5 hour trip quite easy before the holiday traffic got thick. We set up our camper and sat back and relaxed and waited for the rest to arrive, and arrive in dribs and drabs they did right through the afternoon and into the evening. Some of us made our way into town to buy some dinner, but you try to find a Fish & Chip shop in Warrnambool when you don’t know where they are, we drove around and around. Those chips were quite nice Adrian weren’t they! Anyway we all headed back to the park where we all tucked in to dinner.
